Description

European alder (Alnus glutinosa) is a European wood with a fine, even structure and a light orange to light brown color. The pattern is inconspicuous, without strong contrasts, which allows the shape of the product to stand out well.
The wood is softer to medium hard, very easy to work with, suitable for both manual and machine processing. It turns well, is easy to cut, glue and sand to a smooth surface. It stains well, is impregnated with oils, or waxes and varnishes.
