Traditional uses
Khaya Mahogany has long been used in furniture making and joinery, where it is valued for its stability, workability and aesthetic appearance. It is commonly used for furniture, interior elements, paneling and musical instruments.
Thanks to its combination of strength and relatively low weight, it has also been used in boat building and veneer production. Compared to genuine American mahogany, it offers a very similar appearance and properties at a more accessible price.
Safety notice
Some tropical woods may cause allergic reactions or irritation when being worked. Fine wood dust is produced during processing and may be harmful if inhaled.
We therefore recommend using appropriate protective equipment, especially a respirator and eye protection, and ensuring adequate ventilation of the workspace.
